Therapy Dogs
Mary-Beth has been involved with therapy dogs through "The Delta Society" as both an instuctor and evaluator. She currently has several teams (dog and handler) certified by the Delta Society. These teams visit hospitals, nursing homes and other care facilities meeting with patients and residents and interacting personally. The benifits of these visits are not only physical but mentally also.
Mary-Beth and her dog Tighe were recognised by the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association when Tighe was named Professional Dog of the Year for 2007 for all his years of work as a therapy dog.

After a long career as a therapy dog, Tighe has been retired from service. His last therapy dog session was in December of 2010
